Estimator for asphalt, concrete, and underground construction Summary: Spartan Paving, LLC is an asphalt and concrete services company located in Waterford, MI. We are seeking someone experienced in estimating for construction with an emphasis on asphalt paving, concrete, underground, and site work.Estimator for asphalt, concrete, and underground construction Responsibilities:

• Communicate with Sales and Operations teams as well as other estimators to determine bid numbers for a scope of work
• Locate and analyze work procurement opportunities from various sources
• Utilize HCSS software, primarily HeavyBid and some HeavyJob for estimate creation
• Create a job budget for transfer to accounting once bid is accepted
• Process and document change orders with very little notice
• Assists with plan preparation and estimates on larger team assembled estimates
• Negotiates and prepares changes orders as necessary for active projects
• Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices
• Determine possible permit requirement and work with our permit team to ensure successful application Estimator for asphalt, concrete, and underground construction Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an estimator for commercial construction projects
  • Experience with asphalt paving operations
  • Experience with concrete flat work
  • Experience with site balance calculations/grading from an estimation position
  • Ability to read and understand design prints to develop the scope for larger projects
