Announcement InformationThe Human Resources Rotational
Internship Program (HRRIP) is a one-year rotational program
designed to prepare and develop the next generation of leaders
within the human resources function. Participants will spend 12
months working with several of our HR units such as Talent
Acquisition, Benefits, Learning & Development, and Labor to name a
few. This accelerated program will provide associates with
rotational experiences through several different facets of the
human resources function, gaining exposure and valuable development
experiences within a government organization.

limited to 1,000 hours per calendar year and are not eligible for

Job SummaryUnder close supervision, performs entry level
professional duties of moderate difficulty providing the
opportunity for professional training in Human Resources. Performs
assigned duties to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and
standards required for successful performance. May perform duties
such as gathering and organizing data to provide information for
departmental special projects or reports; basic arithmetic
computations; assist in preparing written reports; accompany
professional level employees on assignments; assist with screening
resumes and applications; proofreading HR documents and
transferring data; conduct job studies, course facilitation, and
assisting with work-based learning programs; research and benchmark
industry trends; tracking progress, priorities, and deadlines of
various projects and contacts other County departments or outside
agencies by phone to request or give information and other related
duties as assigned. Assignments serve to offer practical experience
and broad exposure to the County's organizational structure.
Utilizes current Countywide and/or department specific software to
complete assignments.
Minimum QualificationsApplications will be rejected if the

of the following requirements:Currently pursuing a bachelor's or
master's degree in human resources development, human resource
management, organizational leadership, management or related degree
ANDa. Current enrollment in an accredited college or university and
completion of 56 semester credit hours to be classified as
junior/senior status (equates to steps 3 or 4 of salary range) ORb.
Current enrollment in an accredited college or university in a
graduate degree program (equates to steps 5 or 6 of salary
range).NOTE: Applicants possessing transcripts from a college or
university outside of the United States will be required to provide
documentation of degree equivalency from a member of the National
Association of Credential Evaluation Services
(http://naces.org/members.html). The degree evaluation will be
required for application processing.2. Pass the complete
examination, including the employment medical, established for this
