Job Description Elementary School Social Worker AnthroMed Education is a provider of School Social Work and Special Education services across the state of Michigan. AnthroMed Education is seeking 2 School Social Workers who want to make an impact supporting a caseload of elementary school students. This would be a full-time full school year position split between 2 buildings, in Waterford, MI. We invite you to apply in seconds and an AnthroMed Education Team Member will reach out within 24 hours School Social Worker (2 positions) - both 1.0 FTE for the school year These SSWs will split (.5 at each building) every week 3 CI classrooms 2 ASD classrooms 36 caseload Responsible for program support and each teacher has planning time - the SSW will be in the classroom then providing direct service, along with support (para staff) Preferred experience: someone with CI and ASD experience, putting systems in place, coordinating schedules, behavior support, IEP procedures Qualifications: Licensed Master's Social Worker with full or temporary School Social Work approval by the State of Michigan Prior experience in the development of functional assessments and behavior intervention plans to facilitate successful learning Strong knowledge of community resources which may be used by individuals with developmental challenges Demonstrate the capacity to identify barriers to student growth and the ability to analyze complex situations in order to achieve effective outcomes for students Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, individuals receiving services, families, other agencies, and the general public Employment experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Essential Functions: Conducts Functional Assessments that incorporate multiple data/information sources, including formal/informal observation of behaviors that interfere with learning Develops Behavior Support Plans that are built upon the concepts of positive behavioral supports and utilizes ethical, proactive, person-centered approaches in order to modify or resolve behavior Develops methods of tracking the effectiveness of behavior support plans through the analysis of behavioral data and makes changes to the plan as necessary Provides the necessary training and modeling to enable classroom staff to effectively implement behavior support plans and instructional strategies in order to reduce or eliminate undesirable behaviors Other duties as assigned Powered by JazzHR VH2xiJF2Ei
