Job Summary
Is responsible for managing the operations and staff in the Oakland
County Transit Division. Develops a county wide strategy for
improving all forms of transit services throughout the county.
Ensures accountability of all millage proceeds and seeks to
leverage those resources with state and federal resources. Serves
as a top-level interface with Transit providers. Interfaces with
the Oakland County Executive's Office and Board of Commissioners in
the development of transit priorities and policy. Prepares reports,
summaries, and lists of accomplishments for the Oakland County
Transit program. Advocates with local, regional, state, and federal
agencies and staff for their support and participation in County
transit programs and projects. Works cooperatively with other
County departments and divisions to address the community, economic
and workforce development aspects of transit. Utilizes current
Countywide and/or department specific software to complete
assignments.
